5 a side Soccer Champions
/in School News /by Ballagh NsWhat an achievement!! Ballagh’s five a side soccer team showed incredible skill, teamwork and determination to win the A Final in last weeks local school competition.
This competition is run by Ballyboro FC in conjunction with Lanesboro Community College and is open to all the Primary schools in the surrounding area.
Our small, but mighty group of players gave it their all, playing with passion and spirit in every match, and their hard work paid off with a well deserved victory.
We couldn’t be prouder of their fantastic effort and sportsmanship A huge well done to the whole team and their teachers, Ms Nolan and Ms Judge.
Thanks also to Eamonn Bolger and Lanesboro Community College for hosting this competition every year.
And not forgetting a big CONGRATULATIONS to Aidan, who was awarded player of the Tournament.
Reptile Zoo Visit
/in School News /by Ballagh NsWe recently had a visit from Midland Bug and Reptile Zoon. This was an exciting workshop for all. Zoologist John brought a mix of bugs and reptiles
– cockroaches, spiders, tarantulas, scorpions and a leopard gecko. The pupils got to meet Isabelle the tarantula who is 9 years old and has a life span of 40 years.
We also met Colgate the giant Millipede and Shane the Burmese Phython who is 10kg in weight!!
An unforgettable hands on learning experience.
