Aistear – Careers and Occupations

As part of our Aistear topic for February, Occupations and People working in the Community, the children were brought on an exciting trip to Roscommon Fire Station where they got a detailed account of the role of the Fireman and the important job they do.

We invited parents in to talk about their careers and involvement in organisations.  Alan Brehon provided a great insight into life as a Gardai, while Danny Cox captivated the children with his descriptions of farming life.

We also went to Roscommon Library and the children are now members of the Library.
